No its not a Hi Hater time its more of individual who ignorantly post without spending the time in being critical.. The Phantom Street Artist is defending the interest of Artist while Fairey is only interested in saving his own face and ass-ets..
Fairey has a decade and a half of copyright violations, infringing, stealing, pilfering, being a plagerist of important movements and cultural works of art. No one is jealous of The Fairey its more of a joke-time..
As a former graff artist and still have many friends in the world of graffiti this guys only fan base is people who don't know shit about street art. His posters and stuff were fine to wheat paste up, every graffiti writter and street artist take images alter them and put them up. The difference between him and the rest is the fact that he takes peoples images pretty much does nothing to them puts them on shirts and gives no credit or money for using the image to thew original artist. In the LA graffiti scene i can tell you first hand that no one gives this guy respect as an artist what so ever, so fuck him and everything he represents giving high class trust fund kids a sense of being in tune with street art and graffiti because they bought an Obey shirt, FUCK SHEPARD FAIREY.
first thanks for even stopping my blog. But the Hi Hater comment was made to be funny because in the first minute they said they weren't hating and I just found that funny. I have a very open mind toward mostly everything and i have no REAL opinion on Fairey. And like with all "biters" that make it there might be a chance for the originators of the styles he stole from to get some shine.
But to say im an "individual who ignorantly post.." isn't fair because I'm sure your not a regular reader on my blog so relax chief.
