Tour of the New Lower East Side

James Kalm introduces viewers to the Sejima + Nishizawa / SANAA designed New Museum, located at 235 Bowery. The New Museum is dedicated to presenting the most cutting edge art in the city, and its new building will open to the public in December 2007. Its presence is revitalizing this Lower East Side neighborhood. A brief tour of local galleries starts with "Agro Bongo" a group show at Rivington Arms. We then move on to "Rust Belt", a selection of paintings by Ben Grasso at Thierry Goldberg Projects. We wrap up at Canada with a glimpse at Michael Williams "Cancuned and Other Paintings from 2007"
