Not many people believe me when I talk about a latino sweet 16. I mean it's nothing compared to the show My Super Sweet 16 but it's more then a house party, music,food and some presents. My little one was asked to come out in my cousins Sweet 16 so I had to go. Latin ones are more family involved and act more like a wedding then a party for teenagers. It always seemed to me that the whole thing is a reason for the parents to show off what they can do and afford. Like a wedding, you usually get a church mass (depending on how fresh off the boat/religious the parents are). Then it's the party after just like a wedding. Sometimes the girl has a male counterpart (I've been that before), female friends that act as brides maid types and boys who act like whatever the brooms dudes are called. But my cuz only had my daughter and neice with her.
The place was really nice but the food and service sucked.
My daughter really knows how to throw down when it comes to food!
