Starting this Friday 06/12/09 at 11AM EST- Erick Scarecrow's Papa Sama LVL 9999 Butter Edition 8" resin figure will be available at the Esc-Toy Shop. This is the second colorway after the Chocolate Edition that was released and sold out in Japan. Each handpainted resin figure is signed/numbered by the artist, comes with a removable cloud spear accessory, and seal in Scarecrow's signature box style.
Papa Sama is actually based on a real dog named Mikey that Erick Scarecrow had for 19 years. A mixed breed Maltese that was smart, strong and very tough. He didn't like other dogs, hated getting haircuts, got along with alley cats, ate cheese and spent a lot of time sleeping in my family coat closet. When he was in the closet we would go to try and play with him but he used to growl when he wanted space. Then eventually come out when he was ready to play. Very strange. Erick would often call him old man trapped inside a dog body.
